What's New at The Yummy Life

T-Man, the techie magician, has been hard at work adding some great new features to our site. Here's what he's just pulled out of his hat:

Note: If you're reading this via email or an RSS feed, you'll need to click on the title of this post and go to our website in order to see and access the new features described here.

• Recipe index--Click on "Browse all of Monica's recipes" on the right sidebar* of the home page and you'll get a list of recipe categories to help you find what you're looking for. You no longer will have to scroll and scroll and scroll through blog posts to find the recipe you're looking for. Yay for T-Man!
  
  *If you don't know what a sidebar is, I'm talking about those light purple boxes going down the side to the right of what you're reading now. 

• Photos on printed recipes--Now when you print a recipe, a photo of the finished dish will print on the page, too. We didn't add photos to the recipe card, because it's too small and there isn't always room for a photo. But when you choose to print the full page recipe (the choice of 90% of you), a photo will print with the recipe. Say CHEESE!

• Recipe photos on the sidebar--Rotating recipe photos with links have been added to the lower right of the sidebar. These are there to give you quick access to some popular recipes you may want to check out.

• New buttons for easier access at the bottom of the "Welcome to The Yummy Life" box at the top of the sidebar--
  Email and RSS subscriptions: Chances are, if you're reading this you already have subscribed to receive new posts via email or RSS feed. If not, click on the button of your choice, and we will send our new posts to you. That way you'll never miss a recipe or yummy tip. (You can easily unsubscribe at any time.)
  Follow us on Facebook: Click this button and it will direct you to The Yummy Life's Facebook page. There are additional tips, thoughts, and reader comments there that you don't want to miss. Better yet, if you "like" us on Facebook, our yummy Facebook updates will appear in your personal Facebook news feed. You can also access us on Facebook and see our Facebook followers at the bottom of the sidebar on this page.

• Search for any topic--Okay, this feature isn't new, but I want to make sure you know about it. We have a "Search The Yummy Life" box right below "Browse Monica's recipes" in the sidebar. This is another way to search for recipes or other topics in previous blog posts. Enter a search term, and all posts related to that term will show up for easy browsing.

• Archives of every previous post--Once again, not a new feature. But one you should know about. Below the search box in the side bar is a complete list of every post. They are in reverse chronological order. This is one more way to browse The Yummy Life. If for some inexplicable reason you would like to read every word I've ever written, this is the place to go.

A huge round of applause for T-Man for all of these features he's designed and implemented to make your experience all the yummier when you visit our blog. He has more tricks up his sleeve. They will be revealed soon, so stay tuned.
